CURITIBA, BRASIL

I present to you the diversity of the city of Curitiba through a daily lunch at home.

This old lady represents any anonymous migrant who has lived in the neighborhood and has shaped the personality of the city. We find her immersed in her daily routine, in a costumbrista scene that shows a daily moment in her life, which is enriched by the contribution of so many cultures. She is eating a pizza (reference to Italians), while she holds with Japanese chopsticks (reference to Japan) corn and pineapples (reference to indigenous culture), and drinks a German beer. The hanging tomatoes and the siphon refer to Spain, the sausages to Poland, etc etc…
